Video transcript:

Hello my name’s Alan.  I am a senior technician with Indesit company.  I have over fifteen years experience helping customers with their washing machines.  At Indesit Company we design and manufacture our appliances to provide many trouble free years of service to our customers, but there also a few things you can do yourself to help ensure your appliance operates to its full potential or to help resolve any common user issues.

This video covers how to deal with unblocking the pump. Sometimes they can get blocked with bra wires, change and smaller items.

How you will know there’s a problem – wet clothes after the final spin, longer than expected cycle times, excessive water at the end of the cycle.

What you will need to rectify the issue: a towel and a baking tray.

To check and clean the pump assembly, firstly, you will need to remove the plinth. Then, use a towel and a suitable tray to catch any water, and screw the filter assembly anticlockwise until you can withdraw the filter assembly. Remove any foreign objects you may find. Once clear, replace the filter. If you’re still experiencing problems, please refer to your user handbook which can also be downloaded from the user handbook section of our website.  Remember, spares can also be obtained from our website as well as care products for a range of kitchen appliances.

Recap: remove plinth. Turn filter anticlockwise, putting down a suitable container to catch water. Check for small items in the filter. Replace the filter. Replace the plinth.
